It is the season for sharing Candy Canes with our friends! But this week, there have been some rumours that Kegworth is about to ban this popular Christmas treat.
We interviewed our principal, Mr Toovey, and asked him if Candy Canes have really been banned at Kegworth.
He said that they are not banned, however, he said he would like students to take them home and eat them there so that the plastic wrappers don’t end up around the school.
We went around Kegworth to see if candy cane littering really is a big deal. We found two wrappers within 10 minutes!
We think that Kegworth kids should be more careful with their rubbish or take their Candy Canes home to enjoy.
