Early Starts & Cozy Camp Fires At The Great Aussie Bush Camp

By Abdulraheem

I was lucky enough to go on the Stage 3 camp. We went to the Great Aussie Bush Camp at Camp Wombarro in the Southern Highlands. It was a lot of fun. Let me tell you all about what happened at camp. Camp is about having fun and about learning skills outside.

We went on Wednesday the 19th of August and we came back on the Friday the 21st of August. The drive was one hour and forty minutes.

We did a lot of activities to keep us occupied during the long days. There was Flying Fox, Giant Swing, Canoeing, Swimming, and Bush Craft. My favourite activity was the Giant Swing because you go up so high and you go flying up and down. It was so fun.

At Camp Wombarro there were a lot of wild kangaroos and wombats wandering around and eating grass. We got to see a baby wombat too.

Everyday we had to wake up at six in the morning for breakfast. That was an early start. At night we had a nice cozy camp fire before getting into bed at 10pm.
