But Lizzo is more than an artist, she changes people’s lives.
Lizzo is an American rapper and singer who is known for her positivity, fun and upbeat songs. Britannica said that She grew up in Houston, Texas and then moved to California to start her singing career.
Lizzo sings pop music which is very fun for Gen A to dance to. This means that Gen A listens to her music on the radio, and can hear it more on social media platforms, in movies and on TV shows. Lizzo is also on TikTok which makes her even more famous with Gen A.

“If you’re being bullied, her music inspires you to not listen to the bullying. It spreads a lot of positivity,” said Kate, a Year 5 student.
Another student from Year 5 said Lizzo’s music helped them gain a lot of confidence.
Despite her positive outlook, Lizzo has made negative and ableist comments. Such as fat-shaming her dancers and making abusive comments. While she has changed, she still hasn’t apologised.
However, she remains a body positivity influencer, a pop singing superstar and she is loved by many around her.
