“If you are Indigenous or Aboriginal, you are invited to join,” he said.

Ms Lavery, Mrs Romer and Ms Debby run the Indigenous Dance Group.

Ms Lavery has been part of the group since 2013. She told Press Gang that she loves being part of the group. “I think the group is important to everyone in our school because Aboriginal culture is something that we are really proud to share with everyone in our school community.”

Ms Debby has been part of the group for five years. “As a dance teacher, I love all forms of dance and Aboriginal dance is really beautiful as it tells us a story,” she told Press Gang.
