Handball Highlights

Handball is super popular at OGPS! Students from all grades play before school, at recess, lunch, and after school. It’s awesome because you get to hang out with kids from different grades.
We play with all sorts of teams, from 2 to 9 players. It gets super intense! Alex, who plays almost every day, says, “I love winning against my friends and everyone else!”
Ally, who plays with her buddies a few times a week, says, “I like how it’s competitive, but still totally fun! Plus, everyone gets a chance to play!”
At first, handball might seem a bit scary, but the only way to get better and learn the rules is by trying it out.
Handball rocks at OGPS! It’s a great way to stay active and hang with friends. If you haven’t tried it yet, come join the fun!
“What Glory!” : OGPS Takes Out Handball Competition

In March, the OGPS Handball Team won the Sydney School Handball Competition!
We were handed the glorious big gold champion Handball Cup. It was such an honour. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime chance opportunity.
What a glory! It was a privilege to hold such a tremendous thing. I was given the feeling of such pride.
We also received a hand-size trophy, with ‘Champion’ on the bottom label – a great way to remember that one special day we all were champions.
