In Week 7 Vaucluse Public School hosted the Southern Sydney Primary Schools Debating Competition.
The 2024 Year 6 team members were Felix, Axl, Xavier and Aum who had the hard task of arguing ‘why all people should be vegetarians’. They produced some fiery arguments along with amazing rebuttals to defeat Bondi Public School.
The 2024 Year 5 team debated on the topic, ‘computers should replace teachers’. The team consisted of Oliver, Jakob, Paloma and Frankie K. They lost in a tight debate against Bondi Public School. Even the kindergarten students were gripped as they watched the debates play out.
The competition continues with round 2 in Term 3.
