By Alireza, Rasheed, Yehya Ali & Sam

If you like eating then hear this, cooking can be found in many ways. With lots of skills you can make your own recipes and maybe even become a famous chef.

Cooking requires patience, but we think it’s worth it. Whether it’s Mac and Cheese, which is easy, or, Beef Wellington, which is hard, at the end you will be enjoying it.

In a class survey, we found that 83 per cent of Stage 3 students help cook dinner at least once a week with 26 per cent helping to cook dinner more than once a week.  We interviewed GSPS students about cooking. Here are some of the things they said.

“I like cooking, and my favourite thing to cook is mac and cheese.”

“I started to cook when I was six and my first thing I made was a cheese sandwich.”

“I like cooking because it is fun and because the house smells really good.”

We interviewed Ms Macphail, GSPS Principal, about cooking. “It is really important for kids to learn basic skills, not only so they can help their mum and dad at home. It also helps prepare them for life,” she said.

Ms Macphail’s favourite thing to cook is pizza. “I love making the dough putting the toppings on, but most of all, I love eating it.”
