Book Review: Solomon Macaroni and the Vampire Vacation By Ashleigh Barton

By Lexie

I give this book a five out of five stars.

It’s a book about a vampire Solomon Macaroni and his family. There are xix vampires, their father, and a cousin, and they all decide to go on a trip to Paris. It means a lot to them because the Mona Lisa has something to do with their mother. And then everything goes wrong and magic returns back to Paris and they need to find a way to fix it.

I think what makes this story unique is that the main characters are vampires, and you don’t normally read about vampires. And if you do, they’re not friendly vampires. Most of the time you would think of a vampire as a blood-eating monster. These vampires are different, they are nice vampires.

What I liked most about the main character, Solomon, was that he was unique, he was kind and caring, and he was following the rules. Unlike his mischief-making cousins.

I would recommend this book to other kids because it’s a very adventuristic book. So if you like adventures, you should probably read it.

I think it’s a great read book, give it a go!
