The OGPS School Parlement is a group of talented year six students and representatives from every class working together to make the school a better place.
Fortnightly the School Parliament members get together to brainstorm ideas and talk about issues in our school.
The parliament consists of four ministers, a Deputy Prime Minister and a Prime Minister.
So, who’s who?
With the help of Mr Mcbain, the parliament is a way for students to share their ideas about the running of the school.
“The parliament is going to give students a bigger voice than they’ve ever had before,” Mr Mcbain told Press Gang.
The parliament also gives students opportunities to demonstrate the importance of representation and active involvement in the school and leadership.
Benjie, the Prime Minister, has lots of responsibilities including talking at assemblies. “It felt good to know people felt I’d be a good fit for this leadership role,” he said.
