How long have you worked at Guildford West?
I’ve been at Guildford West for seven years now, and before that, I used to work at another school around here for 35 years.
What’s your favourite thing about working at Guildford West?
The kids of course! Because they always work hard. They’re always happy to have a chat. And they’ve always got big smiles on their faces
What’s your favourite subject to teach?
I like to teach the children how to read, especially those that are having trouble. I like to help them to get better and better and better.
What are your favourite things to do outside school?
I love to go to the beach in the summer and my other favourite thing… I bet you could guess…I love reading.
In winter I like to
sit by the fire, have a cup of tea, and read a book. Or watch a movie.
What is your favourite book?
My favourite picture book is, ‘There’s A Sea In My Bedroom’ by Margret Wild.
I like how David is scared of the water and then he becomes brave. I also like to listen to the sound of the sea in my shells, like he does.
