Top Blokes: Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders Today
By Mustafa, Daniel & Muhammed
Top Blokes is a program for the boys in year 6. The Top Blokes mission is to nurture resilience, integrity and leadership. Top Blokes cultivates a supportive environment where young men can thrive.
“They learn about how to have healthy relationships with themselves and those around them, as well as anger strategies and how to manage big, big emotions,” said Kate from the Top Blokes Foundation.
There are 12 – 13 people in the program and usually two people leading the session. The boys here are in Year 6 and they get valuable lessons that they won’t learn much about at school.
“One thing that we talk about is things we can do to keep us happy and healthy such as making sure that we have a healthy diet and making sure that we sleep for eight hours a night,” said Kate.
How is the program going? “So far there have been useful tips on how to deal with real-life situations,” said a HRPS student in the program.
The boys also come up with good ideas.
