The Olympic games are very exciting for everyone and they have come around again after another fabulous four years. Here are some opinions on favourite Olympians, favourite Olympic sports and how it makes people feel.
My partner says some of her favourite Olympians are Simone Biles who is a gymnast from the USA, Ariarne Titmus from Australia competing in swimming and Saya Sakakibara from Australia who competed in the BMX racing. We think it makes everyone feel excited, thrilled and especially nervous for the athletes.
Most people get emotional and feel proud for all the athletes. Like most of our parents. We think the Olympic games are great and a fun way of getting together. It only happens every four years but when it comes around it’s amazing! When the Olympics Games finish you get to look forward to the paralympics.
The Paralympics is an awesome opportunity with different sorts of disabilities to compete against many other countries.We had our very own Olympics here at Kegworth, it was a great day to experience all our own little interesting games at Kegworth.
Some of the events were equestrian, never ending soccer, beach volleyball and many more. We even had our own Kegworth Olympic flame for the opening ceremony.
We asked some kids in the playground to explain why they loved the kegworth Olympics and what their favourite sport was, and some were Beach Volleyball because people liked trying to hit all the high shots and the impossible ones, some loved the horse riding because it was fun jumping over the obstacles and competing with friends,and some liked the hockey because it was challenging with a smaller net and court.
My partner and I think the Paralympics is really interesting to watch, especially because they may have been through a lot .
