Reading Is Magic At GSPS
By Samaria, Omar Isaac A & Yahya

A dinosaur, a Disney princes, Hermione Granger, Elsa, Mr Wolf, Willy Wonka, a robber, a gangster, Thing 1 and Thing 2, and the BFG – Book Week costumes were filled with imagination. This year, Book Week was in Week 5. The theme was ‘Reading is Magic.’ We celebrate Book Week by as dressing up as a characters from a book.
Book Week can make reading more fun. Everyone should read books because you can dive into your own imaginations. If you don’t love reading, maybe you haven’t found the right book. Ms El-Bacha said, “I didn’t enjoy reading when I was younger.” But when she read ‘Boy Overboard’ by Morris Gleitzman, she was hooked.
Our team talked to 75 students from Stage 3. Our research showed us that the sport books are the most liked books followed by scary books, and funny books. We asked GSPS Librarian Mrs McLean what book has been borrowed the most. She told us it’s Pig The Pug by Aaron Blabey.
