The Heart Of PSSA

By Xavier & Elias

Tick-tock tick-tock the clock is ticking. The time is flying, my heart jumps out of my body as I miss the net by half an inch. He shoots…

This is the heart of PSSA.

The Primary Schools Sports Association (PSSA) is run by the government of New South Wales.

However think about it, is that really what PSSA is about? What drives the students and teachers to keep going and never give up? The intense competition for first place? The trophy at Guildford Park?

A famous person named John Maxwell once said “team work makes the dream work” and this shows why people at Granville South love PSSA.

Every afternoon on Thursday students train hard for one hour straight and then play games for two hours every Friday. Our data shows that Rugby is the most preferred sport amongst students, with soccer in a close second. Teachers and students were interviewed on the topic of PSSA. They said PSSA is important because students can demonstrate sportsmanship, resilience, physical actions and teamwork.

PSSA brings people together at GSPS to play sport. It’s about teamwork, confidence, sportsmanship and love.
