Term 2 Sport: KPS Cross Country

By Mason, Theo & Oscar

Three people came around the corner, really fast. They were neck and neck, then they all tied. This year a lot of people ran in Cross Country and secured a good result.

On Wednesday the 25th of April, we all walked down to the Greenway for Cross Country. 7,8,9 and 10 year-olds run  2km and 11 and 12 year-olds run 3km. The top six from each year group go to zone and 7th and 8th place are reserves .

We have Cross Country every year to go see our new cross country team! Cross country is important because you can get fit, meet new people and make new friends.

Here is what Kegworth teachers had to say about Cross Country.

“I think it was a benefit for everyone, teachers and students. We get to go out of the classroom and be in the great outdoors,” said Mr Roberts.

“Every school has to do Cross Country, so it’s very important that we all participate and build confidence in our longer endurance running,” said Ms Radburn.
