Colour Run Fun For Everyone

By Amena H, Alisha & Louise

The Colour Run is a fun celebration where we have five different activities on at the same time. Each stage is at an activity and they rotate after a period of time. The activities are water bucket, bean bag, rainbow parachute, dance party and the color run. At the dance party you got given glasses and a headband to protect you from getting the powder in your eyes.

The Colour Run was held at Granville East Public school in Term 2, Week 2 on the 30th of April 2026. The activities were held all around the school like the hall, cola, village and top and bottom asphalt.

We asked Ms Leigh why she organised the Colour Run and she said that she organised it because she wanted everyone to participate and to have fun.

So, what did students have to say about the Colour Run?

Year 6 student Aminah said, “I liked getting sprayed with the powder and getting covered in color”.

Year 5 student Hadees said, “It was so much fun and I was so tired from running that I drank gallons of water.”

Ms Faghani told us, “The colour run had a range of wonderful and fun activities for students. Towards the end of the day, there was dancing, doing the actual colour run, which I was involved in and also other fun activities under the parachute with some fun games.”

We asked students if they could change anything about the colour run, what would it be? They said they would “change the bucket activity because they wanted to do drip, drip splash instead”

We also asked them what their favourite activity was, and “they said the dance party activity because they loved dancing with their friends”

We had an app to raise money, and you received prizes based on how much money you raised as an individual. We ended up raising over 800 dollars at our school.

It was a very fun event, and we bet everyone is looking forward to next year to become colourful again.
