On Friday, Kegworth was out in force, walking to school and enjoying a lovely breakfast hosted by the P&C.
Here’s what the Kegworth community had to say about walking to school.
Helen, President of the P&C
“Nat Walk to School Safely Day is an annual event that promotes walking to school safely and ties in with the environment. It’s a really important initiative.
I Grew up in a country town -we walked to school every day – even if it was raining. Walking everywhere is great – It’s a good way to get exercise and see what’s happening in the neighbourhood.”
Thom from the P&C Wellbeing Committee
“The whole family walked to school. It was 3kms, Eddie wore his fitness watch. It took 45 mins – there were some big hills which were a bit of a struggle. Walking to school is a good way to keep us all fit, plus kids are happy when you’re out and about.”
