Belinda Murrell is the beloved author of Pippa’s Island, Lulu Bell, and many more, with a wide range of genres. We got the wonderful opportunity to interview her, and ask her some burning questions that we had.
1. She started writing for her kids, but later it turned into a career.
“So, it was for my own pleasure, but I was writing, including the things they love about books.”
2. She comes from a family of writers.
“My brother and sister are published authors as well,” she told us.
3. Belinda’s favourite kind of music is similar to yours and mine.
That’s because she takes her music taste from her kids. “So, my music taste is very much influenced by what my kids listen to,” Belinda said.
Some singers include Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Adele.
4. Belinda’s books have been translated into many languages.
Translations include Portuguese, Turkish, Afrikaans, and Czech.
5. If she had to, Belinda would pick reading over writing
When asked if she would rather never read or never write again, Belinda said, “I get a lot of joy from my own work, and my own writing, but I think if I had to choose, it would have to be reading, but that hurts.”
