Meet The Teachers Behind GWPS Paddock To Plate
By Bella

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to run the paddock to plate kitchen?
The kitchen is run by many teachers including Ms Bice and Ms Furness who order supplies and organise deliveries and Mrs Shaw who works with students in the kitchen.
I asked them some questions to find out more.
Bella: Do you enjoy working in the kitchen?
Mrs Shaw: “Yes I do!”
Bella: What is your favourite recipe?
Mrs Shaw: “Today we did some burgers and the kids really enjoyed those, which was really nice.”
Bella: Do you like cleaning up after cooking?
Mrs Shaw: “No! I don’t like cleaning up after cooking.”
Bella: What are some things you enjoy in the kitchen?
Mrs Shaw: “I enjoy being with the kids when they come in.”
Bella: Are the shipments really big?
Ms Bice: Sometimes there are ten bags of shopping that the delivery drivers bring in. The driver comes to the gate and they wheel it in on a big trolly.
Bella: Is it expensive?
Ms Bice: The food is quite expensive. Food and groceries are very expensive. We’re always ordering food for the kitchen – once or twice a week.
