Calling all Swifties! Taylor Swift was in Sydney at the start of term 1 and we still haven’t shaken off Tay Tay Fever. In this Special Report, Press Gang reporters share first-hand experience and expert knowledge.

Question: Who is the most popular singer in the whole world? If you guessed Taylor Swift you would be correct.

Taylor Swift has 10 albums with one on the way. She’s won 14 Grammys and she’s only 34. Her biggest hit is Cruel Summer, a song on her 7th album Lover.

Taylor’s music is catchy and beneath that, there is always a song that came from her heart. Her 10 albums showcase a lot of different genres so there is something for everyone

We asked 52 kids in the playground what their favourite album is and why they liked it. We found out that Reputation got the most votes and Folklore got the least.

So What do OGPS students like about Taylor Swift? We interviewed Swifties in the playground to find out.“She slays and I love her music so much and she’s such a nice person.

“It started when I was about five because then shake it off was a really big thing for me and then I kind of just kept on listening to her and now to the point where I’m double that age.”

Who is Taylor Swift?

Taylor Swift is a 34 year old pop star singer and she is flying around the world to perform to crowds over 40k+ people. She has won 14 Grammys and broken 58 Guinness World Records.

Her lucky number is 13 because as she stated on MTV News, “I was born on the 13th, I  turned 13 on Friday the 13th and my first album went gold in 13 weeks.”

I’ve been a Swiftie for about one year now. I couldn’t believe that I was there. I was trading friendship bracelets. I got my LED bracelet and got in the actual stadium. I felt like I was in a dream. I wore this sparkly pink skirt with a white top, gems in my hair and gems on my face with some eye makeup and so many friendship bracelets.
