On May 7th, Putney Public School hosted the Mother’s Day Breakfast. The P&C helped by bringing food in and serving it to the mothers and children.
Guests could also listen to the amazing band play and there was a raffle with three big baskets of chocolates, wine and gift cards.
But why is mothers day important? Mother’s Day is important because kids have to appreciate what our mums have done for us. Like when they buy presents for us or take care of us when we’re sick. It’s also very important to celebrate someone we love.
Press Gang reporters were on the scene interviewing teachers and parents.
“I like that all mothers come together and celebrate together,” said Sarah-Jane’s mum.
“The Mother’s Day breakfast is fantastic. I love the coffee, the fruit and the granola,” said Mrs Hedge.
We asked Press Gang reporters if they are going to make breakfast in bed for their mums – 50 per cent said yes! Hopefully, the other 50 per cent have something else planned for their lovely mums.
