What a beautiful day to celebrate our mothers. They are supportive, caring and extremely knowledgeable. They are dedicated to taking care of their kids and are absolutely loving!
But how did Mother’s Day start? The official Mother’s Day started when Anna Jarvis wanted the day to be a celebration of how much mothers sacrificed for their children. After this, Mother’s Day spread across the world.
We grabbed some Hilltop Road members and asked them what they love about their mothers!
mJacob from Y5: “She’s kind, helps me a lot and takes care of me and my siblings. She’s honestly the best mother I could ever ask for!”
Elhan from Y5:” My mother is the best! She buys me stuff, cares dearly for us and others and she is just amazing!”
Haylow from Y6: “My mother is amazing! She provides a roof over my head and cooks for me. I couldn’t ask for a better mum!””
Tamilz from Y6: “I love my mum. She’s thoughtful and amazing and she cares for me and my siblings. I love my mother very much!
Mr Hallwaston, staff member: “My mother provides for me and cares a lot for me and her grandchildren. She cares for me, and I love her a lot.”
Mrs Baddour, Deputy Principal: “My mother cares for me and is the best grandma to my grandchildren. She is independent and she is just great! She’s the best mother ever!”
Mrs Ryabovitch, staff member: “My mother is supportive, kind and very loving to everyone, she is always there for me and my children.”
Mrs See, Principal : “My mother is caring, kind and there for me. She’s helpful and very family orientated. I love my mum so much- I might even cry!”
