Zohal is a little girl who 8 years old. She is in Year 2 here at Hilltop Road Public School. We read a book together called ‘When the LIGHTS Went Out’ By Lian Tanner and Jonathan Bentley.
The book is about a family whose town’s lights have gone out. This family have a great time outside in the snow, then eventually the lights came back.
Zohal was able to read the book with ease and she was really keen on turning to the next page.
As for Zohal, she thought that the book looked very cool and detailed, she also had a connection with the book because this has actually happened to her before.
Zohal said, “I really like the book. I wish there was a part two!”
Zohal also said that her favorite part of the book is when they were making food but their lights suddenly went out.
We give this book five stars!
