SchooL News: GSPS Stage 3 Visit Canberra
By Hafiza, Noor, Waleed, Danilee, Mohamad & Frashta

On April 30th, 96 GSPS students went on an excursion to Canberra.
Students visited Parliament House, where members of the house and the Prime Minister discuss and argue about laws. Unfortunately, Parliament wasn’t sitting during our visit.
Questacon is a building full of tons of amazing scientific facts. You can also enjoy many games like the humongous slide in Gallery 8.
GSPS Students engaged in many astonishing activities and learned about artifacts, science and more.
We asked Stage 3 teacher Ms Issa why the excursion was important.
“The Canberra trip was absolutely critical to add to the knowledge that students are learning about the Australian government and how it works,” she said.
“It’s different when you actually see and experience something, as opposed to just hearing about it and just looking at it through a textbook.”
Students also enjoyed being on the bus, playing Uno with teachers and friends.
Our student poll found that 92 per cent of students enjoyed the trip.
