School News: PPS Open Day Gives 2025 Kindy Kids A Taste Of School

Have you ever wondered when the newest update to Putney Public School will be? Maybe next year’s kindergarteners.
An open day is when new younger kids come to have a look around the school. All students, teachers, parents and leaders were there. This event took place in the Kindergarten rooms on August 7 (Term 3 Week 3).
We interviewed Mrs Brooks about the Kindy open day. She said that there will be roughly 40 new kindies joining PPS next year.
Mrs Brooks also said how excited she is for the new kindies to arrive as they are so little and starting real school.
“The activities show them what school feels like’ explained Mrs Brooks.
We also interviewed the school captains, Mina and Leon. The school captains were involved by giving a speech at the assembly, greeting parents, and opening and closing the gates. They were excited to meet the new kindies and see a new generation of Putney students.
“The new Kindies will be in good hands,” sais Mina.
“I hope the new Kindies will have a good year and have the time of their lives at PPS,” added Leon.
