Zone is the level after our normal athletic carnival, the best athletes from our school athletics will go to zone.
The zone carnival was on the 19/8/24, luckily it was mostly a sunny day and it was at Sydney olympic park athletic center. I competed in the high jump and long jump and for high jump I got 4th place and for long jump I got 6th. When I got there I was very nervous but once it was finished I felt better and excited to see the results.
It was very fun and exciting. At the day there were relays and Putney public school got into relays. Fortunately we came 4th in relays but it was very exciting to watch.
Chloe, Year 5 made it to zone for 100 meters and 200 meters and made it to regionals for both sports.
“I felt very proud of myself because I made it so far,” she said.
Ruby, Year 5, took part in the 100m 200m 100m relay and discus. She was nervous because she had never made it to Zone for that many things.
