The school holidays are just around the corner, so here are some things to do to keep you entertained.

Have a sleepover 

Sleepovers, don’t get me started! They are the most amazing thing in the world. You have midnight feasts, pillow fights, movies and popcorn. Plus you can have as many people as you like. That is why you should have a sleepover in the school holidays.

Read a book 

What’s better than snuggling up and reading a nice book on a cold day? Some books to read are The Midnight Guardians by Ross Montgomery,  Secrets of a Schoolyard Millionaire by Nat Amore and A Giant’s Trek by Nick Stella. 

Go Rock climbing 

The thrill as you reach the top and fall backwards onto a cool, blue mat! Plus, if you visit Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym, St Peters, there is a cafe on the premises, so parents can get their coffee fix while you climb. 

See a movie

One of the best things to do in the holidays is to go to the movies because you can go if it’s raining, or really sunny or whenever you want. When I go to the Palace Cinema on Norton Street, I am struck with the beautiful smell of fresh, buttery popcorn. Unfortunately, I eat half of it before the movie even starts.

Visit Taronga Zoo

A great recommendation for the holidays is a day trip to Taronga Zoo. You can check out cute koalas, majestic marsupials and loyal lions. You can even stay overnight in the Roar and Snore. Taronga Zoo is just across the harbour bridge which allows for a beautiful view of the city skyline.

Go trampolining 

Jump, jump, jump! Trampoline parks are an extraordinary way to spend some time these holidays. You can learn flips, eat, chill or just jump. Some great parks include, Flip Out, Sky Zone and Bounce.

Travel 

When you travel you see and meet new people. You can go and see family and friends. It’s easy to stay in the state or country, but some people go overseas to a different country such as England, New Zealand and America. But for sure, wherever you go, it will be full of adventure and excitement.

Go to Luna Park 

Luna Park is Sydney’s top theme park and one of the most rewarding experiences. Luna Park is located on the waterfront at Lavender Bay, a wonderful view for school holidays. The best ride at Luna Park is the Big Dipper,  a massive wooden roller coaster that is the funnest of the funnest.

Cooking 

A fun thing to do in the holiday is cooking. You could even hold a bake sale and make some money. My favourite thing to cook is breakfast food like pancakes, omelettes and French Toast.
