What is pickleball?
Pickleball is a paddle sport that originated in Washington state in the USA in 1965. It was invented by Joel Pritchard.
It’s a bit like tennis, but it’s easier to play and can be plated anywhere.
How do you play pickleball?
You play Pickleball with a paddle, it is a bit like a ping pong paddle, but it’s wider and has a better grip. The ball is lightweight with holes in it.
You can play pickleball in singles or doubles.
Only the server scores a point.
The ball needs to bounce once per side after the serve.
You have to serve behind the baseline.
Is pickleball popular?
Yes! Pickleball is Australia’s favourite game, more than 25,000 Aussies play Pickleball!
