Book Week is just around the corner and Kegworth kids are preparing their glamorous costumes for the day. However for some, it’s not quite as easy to conjure up ideas for costumes. So that’s why we’re here, to give you costume ideas for book week.
Anything from Harry Potter – As it is one of the most popular movie and book series, it is an awesome idea for a costume. You could even team up with some of your friends, and go as some of the iconic characters from the series.
Something by Doctor Suess – Especially in the younger years, Dr Suess is one of the best authors, and can intrigue kids from all over the world. By dressing up as The Cat in the Hat or The Lorax, i’m sure you’ll catch the eye of many kids around the school.
KOTLC Characters – KOTLC stands for Keeper Of the Lost Cities, a popular book series by Shannon Messenger. You and your friends can dress up as the main characters and the iconic costumes will stand out among the crowd.
Sam Kerr or other sporting figures – Not only is Sam Kerr a national sensation and a sporting hero, she also inspires many young girls to play soccer just like her. She stars in many books, such as Sam Kerr Kicking Goals or The Flip Out.
A crayon from The Day the Crayons Quit – You can simply dress up in any colour, and use cardboard to make a crayon headpiece. This book is immensely popular among young kids, and adults and would be a perfect costume for Book Week.
Pokemon – As this series is incredibly popular, it would be awesome to dress up as one of the characters. You can bring in your Pokemon cards, and trade with your friends.
The Baby Sitters Club Characters – Whether it’s Stacie or Kristy, all of the characters have their own iconic personalities and it would be such a fun set of friends to dress up as for the day. Bring all your friends together and recreate these memorable characters this Book Week!
With the help of all of these costume ideas, I’m sure each and every student at Kegworth will look stunning on the day!
