Good Time For All At The Autumn Fair
By Adele, Darcy, Evie, Milana & Faith

Sunday, the 24th of May, was a damp, muddy day, but it didn’t stop people from having a good time at the Autumn Fair. There are lots of rides, stalls and games. People come to share the wonderful experience, meet new people and have fun.
The Autumn Fair was started around 16 years ago by the P&C. It was a parent’s idea, and from then it grew. The fair used to be every year, but since the COVID pandemic, it has been every two years.
We asked Kegworth Principal Mrs Stephens what the Autumn Fair means to our school. “What it means is time for us to come together for fun, celebrate, build community, and also for a time for the P&C to raise some funds for our school.
“It’s like a win-win. Everyone gets to have fun and enjoy themselves and also raise money,” she said.
So, what did Kegworth students enjoy most?
“I liked the dodgem cars the best because I could bash into other people. The teapots are so scary, I was scared,” said Charlie.
“I got to hang out with my friends,” said Juno.
The weather definitely wasn’t the greatest, but lots of people had a good time.
