We’ve had an awesome two terms of PSSA. Fortunately, 4 teams at Putney Public School made it to the semi-finals. They were the Senior Boys Football, Senior Girls Football, Junior Boys Football and Senior Boys Tigertag.
The Senior Boys Football team made it all the way to the grand finals. Putney won 3-0 in the semifinals against Ryde East Public School. Unfortunately, Putney Senior Boys Football lost 4-1 in the Grand Final against Boronia Park Public School.
The Senior Girls made it to the semifinals. They played Boronia Park Public School. Unfortunately, they lost 8-0 but they were really proud of how far they made it through PSSA.
The Junior Boys Football made it to the semi-final against Boronia Park Public School and unfortunately, they lost 5-1, but they were very proud of the effort they gave throughout the season.
Finally, the Senior Boys Tiger-Tag made it all the way to the grand finals. They won the semi-finals with a score of 5-2 against North Ryde Public School. In the grand final they lost 4-2 playing against Gladesville Public School.
Putney Public School has some AWESOME sports players and AMAZING sportsmanship.
We interviewed a few people who were Hayden in year 6 in the senior boys football team, Ben in year 5 in the senior boys tiger tag team, Alexis 6 in the senior girls football team and Andrew 4 in the junior boys.

How are you feeling about the loss?
“I think the team put A great performance and Boronia Park just had a strong team.”
Are you proud of your team?
“Yeah I’m really proud and considering it was tough throughout the season we made it to the grand finals.”
