PSSA: Teamwork Skills & Fun in Sun

By Waleed & Umar

In Granville South Public School, there are many sporting activities such as camp, orienteering, and more, but the most popular choice for many students is PSSA.

In PSSA you’ll have to compete against other schools and will be challenged throughout all matches. Being a representative in PSSA teaches the skills of teamwork, sportsmanship and hard work to all players.

The coaches of the basketball and the  T Ball team are Mrs. K. Issa and Mrs. A. Issa.

These two coaches have been working hard to take their teams to victory. They have pushed themselves and their teams through the hardship and stress of winning so many games.

We asked them why PSSA is important.

“PSSA is important because it builds skill and competition. It gives you a sense of sturdiness and preparedness,” said Mrs. K. Issa.

“It also gives you vitamin D. It teaches you social teamwork, it is a fun way to learn, and it keeps  students healthy,” added Mrs. A. Issa.

The Basketball team reached the final and the end result was a 10-0 Loss. They are the Auburn PSSA Runner up team for 2023.

On the bright side, the Girls T-Ball Team celebrated a victory with a 17-7 win against Auburn West.
